Intel is a revolutionary company that has developed powerful chips for computers worldwide. Recently, the company launched a new series of innovations in Dubai.
These new developments have the capacity to transform several sectors, such as finance, transportation, logistics, and many more.
Intel encouraged the development of artificial intelligence; therefore, it has established the first AI software research & development (R&D) center in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region. As a matter of fact, this center is located in Dubai Internet City.
This landmark helps Intel build software solutions that allow powerful collaboration with local academic and business ecosystems.
Taha Khalifa, Intel Corporation's Middle East General Manager, has conveyed her thoughts by stating, "As a global technology leader and long-time trusted technology advisor in the Middle East region, Intel is pleased to expand its footprint in the UAE through the AI software R&D center.
The launch of the center not only represents a milestone in Intel’s strategy to accelerate and align with digital transformation and economic diversification objectives but is also a strong opportunity to collaborate across the region’s talented and growing technology ecosystem to help drive further AI innovation to fuel global solutions for many segments including healthcare, transportation, and public safety."
Experts from other companies shared their preferences after collaborating with Intel. Thomas Pramotedham, CEO of Presight, remarked, "Together, we combine Intel’s leading technology capabilities with our deep insights in big data and AI, aiming to drive significant advancements."
Additionally, Intel has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Alpha Data, a leading digital transformation provider in the UAE.
Now, Alpha Data can access Intel’s new technologies, including the Intel Gaudi 3 AI Accelerator and Intel Xeon Processors.
Intel's technological advancements are not limited to partnerships and infrastructure development. The company has introduced the Intel® Core™ Ultra 200V series mobile processors with Intel vPro®, designed to empower businesses with AI-driven productivity and enhanced IT management.
These processors offer a combination of performance, efficiency, and industry-leading business computing with advanced security and manageability features. Michelle Johnston Holthaus, interim co-CEO of Intel and CEO of Intel Products, highlighted the impact of these innovations, stating, "Intel Core Ultra processors are setting new benchmarks for mobile AI and graphics, once again demonstrating the superior performance and efficiency of the x86 architecture as we shape the future of personal computing."
The Middle East region has become interested in AI developments. The report suggests that AI could add $320 billion to the region's economies by 2030.
In a positive step, the UAE has established the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence. This activity will position the UAE as a global leader in the AI field.
According to Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030, the region wants to enter other fields also to reduce the dependency on oil. Therefore, companies like Aramco have started initiatives like the Fourth Industrial Revolution to portray the positive impact of AI on the environment.
Many developments happened in Dubai by Intel, which can take both of them to new heights. The opening of Intel's AI R&D Center, collaboration with Presight AI Holding, joining hands with Alpha Data, and launching of new products portray only one thing, i.e., Intel wants to make Dubai the research center.
When new technologies will occur at the Intel center, it will positively impact the Saudi Arabia region. Today's time is come to make smarter decisions, which Intel and Saudi Arabia are making the best choices.
